* * *Artists in Schools Program -- Deadline January 30
Final application and supplementary materials for the Artists in Schools program are due on January 30, 2008. Artists in Schools is designed to support artists in residency activities that take place in schools, both in the classroom and in after-school settings. This is the third round of funding available for the Artists in Schools program, and the intent is to integrate community arts resources, artists and professional art organizations, into a comprehensive, standards-based program that underscores the critical role that the arts play in shaping a student's overall well-being and academic achievement.
